NB Acknowledging I am mainly referring to women in this course but that transgender and those identifying as gender neutral may also be going through these changes. 

Course Aim

To provide a clear, supportive and practical introduction to menopause, to banish any misinformation, helping individuals understand with clarity, what is happening physically and emotionally, and equipping them with simple, evidence based life style strategies to support wellbeing at work and in daily life.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Communicate confidently and seek appropriate support

Understand clearly the definitions of all stages of mid life hormonal change; pre, peri, menopause and post menopause.

Recognise common physical, mental emotional and cognitive symptoms and notice all are interlinked and affected

To be able to ‘join the dots’ and recognise this is a whole body shift not isolated symptoms

Understand the impact of menopause on life at home and work and relationships, as well as sense of self

Apply simple lifestyle strategies to support wellbeing
